How Cat Adoption Works at Santa Cruz SPCA

Our Cat Adoption Process

Adopting a cat or kitten from Santa Cruz SPCA is designed to be straightforward and supportive:

1. Browse Adoptable Cats and Kittens
   View our current adoptable cats and kittens online to learn more about their personalities, needs, and backgrounds.
2. Submit an Adopter’s Profile
   Complete the Adopter’s Profile to share information about your home, lifestyle, and preferences. This helps our adoption team guide you toward a suitable match.
3. Connect With Our Adoption Team
   A member of our team will contact you to discuss your interests, answer questions, and provide additional information about available cats.
4. Meet Cats in Person
   Visit our shelter during browsing hours to meet cats and kittens in person and speak with our knowledgeable cat adoption staff.
5. Finalize Your Adoption
   Once a match is made, our team will guide you through the adoption paperwork and next steps so you can welcome your new cat home.
