Santa Cruz PRIDE

Sunday, June 3rd at 10:30-5pm 

Cheer on our 2018 Grand Marshal and a wide variety of contingents making up the largest LGBTQ+ Pride parade on the Central Coast. You’ll definitely see the SCSPCA, adoptable dogs, and many of our supporters walking in the parade! After the show, come on by our booth at The Pride Festival where you’ll also see LGBTQ musicians, spoken word artists, and other performers.

Where:  The PRIDE parade will travel from Pacific & Church, down Pacific Avenue towards the ocean.

Toffee and Esmerelda Book Signing

Saturday, June 9th at 11:00 – 2:00 pm 

Through this engaging story, based on a real SCSPCA adoption, children will learn about the pet adoption process and find out how “Toffee” fills Ezzie’s summer with joy. Santa Cruz Derby Girl Bout

Saturday, June 30th — Doors open at 4:00 pm  

The Santa Cruz SPCA staff/volunteers/adoptable dogs will be hanging out at the Santa Cruz Derby Girls’ home bout cheering them on! Watch our local skater girls do their thang! Get your tickets — and don’t forget to stop by our table and say hi!

Ask the Dog Trainer Discussion Group

First Monday of every month

Whether or not they come to us from a shelter, our four-legged friends can sometimes exhibit challenging behaviors that require proper training in order to be understood and successfully resolved. Dealing with these behaviors doesn’t necessarily come naturally to humans. We invite you to bring your questions and receive educated advice and helpful tips on dog behavior!
