Paint Your Pet Night
Thursday, July 12th — 6 pm – 8:30 pm — East Cliff Brewing
Paint, sip beer, and listen to great music with friends while creating your personalized pet portrait — all while giving back to the SCSPCA! Art & Soul Events will pre-sketch your pet from a photograph you send in, so you will be ready to paint a forever portrait to proudly hang in your home or give as a gift. No Experience necessary! Ages 11and up

MAKE and PLAY at the MAH!
Friday, July 27th — 5 pm – 8 pm — MAKE night
Sunday, July 29th — 11 am – 2 pm — PLAY day
Join the SCSPCA and Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History (MAH) in a very special MAKE and PLAY event! Make your very own dog and cat toys, snap some doggie-licking-good pics, and snuggle with some of our lovable pooches. Learn more about training your pets, the importance of animal welfare, and drop some mad SCSPCA knowledge to be entered in our raffle.

Santa Cruz Derby Girl Bout

The Santa Cruz SPCA staff/volunteers/adoptable dogs will be hanging out at the Santa Cruz Derby Girls’ home bout cheering them on! Watch our local skater girls do their thang! Get your tickets — and don’t forget to stop by our table and say hi!

Ask the Dog Trainer Discussion Group
First Monday of every month
Whether or not they come to us from a shelter, our four-legged friends can sometimes exhibit challenging behaviors that require proper training in order to be understood and successfully resolved. Dealing with these behaviors doesn’t necessarily come naturally to humans. We invite you to bring your questions and receive educated advice and helpful tips on dog behavior!

Are animals invited? Please leave your pup at home. These sessions are for two-legged learners only.
Who will enjoy this event? This hour-long, small-group setting is perfect for people who have newly adopted their first animal or people who have adopted and are experiencing problems they’ve never dealt with before.
