This is an exciting way for your students to get behind the scenes at an animal shelter and learn how an animal shelter runs and all the jobs it takes to make caring for the animals a success.  Students will get to shadow a lot of our staff as they care for animals whether that be medically, physically or emotionally.  We will even take a look at some other animal related jobs that we always get questions about!

Each day starts at 9am in our Zoom classroom with our zoom check in and Kahoot game to get us started on what we will be focusing on for that day!  Then we will have 2 hours of interactive fun where the students will get a first hand look at how we are caring for animals that come to our shelter.  They will have one task to do after we conclude the days lessons at 11am.  That one task can be done at any time during the rest of the day and we expect to take no longer than 1 hour.  They will get the chance to share their solo projects the next day at camp!

We will be going over things like grooming, enrichment for the animals, training, safe and proper handling of our shelter guests and a behind the scenes look at our foster program.  The cost for one week of camp is $50 and includes a camp in a box that you can pick up prior to the start of your session.  The camp in a box will include, worksheets, art items, how to guides and supplies for projects.
