Spring 2023 Veterinary Camp (Ages 10-12)

This camp will run from Wednesday 4/5 to Thursday 4/6, 9am to 3pm each day.  It will be for students aged 10 through 12.  The cost for this two-day camp is $180.

Participants will learn how veterinarians restrain animals for examination, use mock examination charts to guide their own examinations and make recommendations for an animal’s health care.  They may get the chance to analyze X-rays, perform mock vaccinations and stitch up a wound (on a banana). Students will investigate some common threats to animal health and learn how to the they can take measures to protect the health of their pets. The children will use all their new knowledge to create designs of important features of a vet clinic. Fun socializing, playing with and training our shelter animals will be core to the camp experience.
