Spring 2023 Veterinary Camp (Ages 7-9)

This camp will run from Monday 4/3 to Tuesday 4/4, 9am to 3pm each day.  It will be for students aged 7 through 9.  The cost for this two-day camp is $180.

Campers will be learning such things as common animal ailments and how a veterinary practice operates: who is employed there, the equipment they use and what they look for when examining an animal.  They will find out how examinations are performed and will try filling out simple examination forms to suggest which animals are healthy vs. unhealthy.  The children will dress as vets and attempt some basic grooming and bandaging on nonliving specimens. Our “student vets” will then use their new knowledge to design their own vet clinics.  Fun socializing, playing with and training our shelter animals will be core to the camp experience.
