Santa Cruz SPCA Poster Contest 2017

 Announcing the annual SPCA poster contest in honor of “Be Kind to Animals” Week.  This year’s theme is “Think Pawsitive, Be Pawsitive”.  We are asking all our young artists out there, in Kindergarten through 12th grade, to show us what thinking “Pawsitive”, with animals in mind, is all about!

The rules of the contest are as follows:  Any artistic medium is acceptable but art should reflect the theme

  • Words are allowed, but not required                
  • Maximum size for posters is 11×14 inches
  • Posters must have a Semi-Firm Backing
  • Posters must be labeled on the front lower corner with artist’ : full name, grade, teacher’s full name, school name and contact phone # ·

 All entries should be mailed or delivered by Monday April 24th, 2017 to:

There will be an awards ceremony at the Santa Cruz Downtown library during “Be Kind to Animals Week” the first full week in May. Posters will be displayed during the month of May at the SC Main Library and the Freedom Branch of the Watsonville Public library.
